For those of you who are creating "high-fidelity" simulations, you may experience problems when generating a Functional Specifications Report (FSR). In addition, if you save the FSR as a .pdf file further issues may arise (no pun intended).
The problems that may occur include:
- Pages are truncated
- Graphics are not displayed properly
- Widgets are not scaled accurately to the page
If you are experiencing any of these problems, here are some tips that should help:
- Go the "Advanced" tab in the IE browser's Internet Options. Under Printing, make sure "Print background colors and images" is selected.
- Remove any custom Style settings that have been applied to a widget.
- Whenever possible, try to keep page lengths short (within an 8.5 x 11 in. page).
- For any Comments, make sure you only link to the page - not to the widgets.
- Remove any double-quotes in your Comments.- Finally, you may need to update your iRise server to build 1408.
Thanks to Dan Seta and Alex Kravitz at iRise for their help on this one!
